Sault Ste. Marie International Airport Sault Ste. Marie's Airport, or "YAM" (its international aeronautical designation) is a major air hub for north-central Ontario. This airport has regular daily flights to Toronto, and a weekly flight to Mexico City. The terminal is on the western outskirts of the city, about 20 kilometres from downtown. It is accessible by taking Second Line and turning south onto Airport Road.

    • There are a number of options to get to and from the airport including taxi and limousine. There's both short and long-term parking at the airport.

    Chippewa County International Airport is located in Kinross,MI 20 mins. south of the international bridge (15 miles south of the city). The airport is: 800 ft. / 243.8 m above sea level and has two runways. Chippewa County is serviced by Mesaba Airlines (Northwest Airlink (906-495-2522( or Northwest Airlines (800-225-2525.) When calling Northwest airlines to make reservations tell them Chippewa County International Airport located in Sault Ste. Marie (They do not find CIU listed under Kinross)

    The City Airport in Sault Ste Marie MI is one mile south of the International Bridge and in private aircraft.
